As we begin a fresh year, it is a good idea to not just evaluate ourselves based on the previous year on how we have been managing our lives, but also to find out ways to become more productive as we move along. In this issue, I'd like to share with you some powerful ideas on productivity and how we can make the best of our resources, time, energy and capabilities. Let's do this! | Why "Done is Better Than Perfect" by Sheryl Sandberg The CEO of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg, has one of the best success quotes to live by: Done is Better Than Perfect. The innovative products that we know are constantly evolving; and we're not likely to ever reach perfection as no one has. Instead, getting things done is more important than being perfect, and this applies to various areas in our lives. | Creating Time: How to Master the Art of Intentionality Global economic indicators suggest that despite the additional hours that people work daily, outcomes remain low. Everyone is busy — but that isn’t necessarily translating into productivity. According to Harvard University researchers, our attention wanders away from what we’re doing 46.9% of the time. For both leaders and employees, that’s half the work day. Half a day of not being fully present with tasks and people. This lack of presence is costly. | The Perfectionist Trap | Celina Belizan | Proudly Brought to You I seek to reach out to people who believe in safeguarding the interests of their loved ones. Let me know if I can be of help to someone you know or care about. We can make a difference to lives when it matters most. Cheers. | Kenneth Cheng | | | | unsubscribe | You are receiving this email because you're my client, a friend or you've given permission to receive this email. He is meticulous in planning and has advised me more than just on financial plans. He has been my consultant first but we have since become good family friends. | | | Nick Teo, Business Development Director A mentor is someone who has patience, foresight and magnanimity. Kenneth has all of those traits and more! He's mentored so many, and guided many more to success. And most of all, he is a man of great Faith and great Love. | | | Priscilla Chew, Senior Financial Consultant "A leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of blame and a little less than his share of credit." Kenneth lives by this principle more than many others.
I first met Kenneth, a little more than 3 years back. He came across as a straightforward and focused director. At that moment, I knew I have much more to learn from him.
Being in the business for over 20 years, he has met many different kinds of individuals. He has a unique communication style, knowing that words transform emotions and lead to breakthroughs. His decisiveness carries the team, that does not mean he makes easy decisions. He makes what's right even in tough times.
If one have ever engaged in a conversation with Kenneth, one must have sensed quickly his confidence and clear visions. He is fully focused on helping the team achieve their personal goals, even if it means sacrificing his time. Kenneth is a yes man to his mentees, not because he says yes to everything, but because he couldn't turn a blind eye to his team.
Being a good speaker with his language fluency helped me discover that public speaking is a skill I enjoyed very much, and he is an example to follow.
In my almost 3 years with Kenneth, I have enjoyed learning from him as my mentor, upgrading my skills and putting my strengths to use. He listens before he speaks, which many of us would have wanted from a leader.
He has played a big role and attribution to my achievements and helped me vision who I want to be, who I could be and discovering my identity.
In today's fast paced market, Kenneth is constantly looking for innovative ideas and finding the X factor. It was never a dull moment to learn new things from him.
If you are looking for a leader that is no-nonsense, honest and focused on helping you achieve your goals, walk up to Kenneth and start the conversation. | | | Lee Chun Hian, Financial Services Manager There are two types of leaders in financial services; one that commands and expects results, the other who actually walks the talk, leading by example. And Kenneth is the latter.
Three years of working alongside him, we have both experienced growth in our teams and career, and a large part of my success was due to his empowerment of the business. Kenneth always come up with new innovative ideas in this ever-changing industry of financial services, and he is someone who is selfless in his coaching and sharing with younger financial consultants.
When Kenneth reaches out, it's probably because sees the potential, and I am confident that under his tutelage, new breakthroughs will be reached. | | | Wilson Low, Enterprise Business Manager In 2018, I was looking for a Sales Opportunity in my IT industry. However, my Prudential Financial Consultant shared with me about his work and introduced me to his Team Lead, Kenneth. For a person like me who was already 50yo then, without any experience in the Sales and Financial Industries, it was not easy for me to switch and become a FC but Kenneth was a very patient and knowledgeable Mentor. He was able to teach and abundantly share his knowledge and experience with all his new FCs, and I am proud to be in his Multi Million Dollar Agency Team. I would recommend Kenneth to those who are looking for a good Financial Mentor to achieve your career goal as a Financial Consultant. | | | Ullas Nair, G6 Army, MINDEF I have known Kenneth for about 21 years since we worked together in PT & Sports branch of G6 Army, MINDEF. As that time he was a specialist enlisted and trained as a fitness instructor. I was his superior officer and we worked together in managing and monitoring the army’s overall fitness data and making plans and policies. He struck me even then as a dedicated person, who took his full time national service seriously. He worked hard to ensure that our data was accurate and reliable and fit its purposes.
After he left his army service where he had done very well, he branched out into the insurance industry. I was certain he would not only do well but excel in his chosen field at Prudential. We kept in touch all through the years and he even recommended me some good insurance products. His service was excellent, he treat everyone as a special friend not just a customer. He even assisted his army colleagues to invest week and we all found him to be a capable and reliable person.
As an individual, Kenneth has very good inter-personal skills and EQ, but he is genuinely a nice person and would contact us from time to time even if we were not involved in any business deals with him. He has a food reputation from all his army friends even after leaving service more than 21 years ago. I wish him the best and I know he will serve his clients and friends well.
