Cheryl Phua, Assistant Director Civil Service

Have known Kenneth for more than 10 years as a financial advisor through a friend. He has shown genuineness and care in terms of having your interests in mind and gradually become more like a friend over the the time that we have known each other.

Priscilla Chew, Senior Financial Consultant

"A leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of blame and a little less than his share of credit." Kenneth lives by this principle more than many others. I first met Kenneth, a little more than 3 years back. He came across as a straightforward and focused director. At that moment, I knew I have much more to learn from him. Being in the business for over 20 years, he has met many different kinds of individuals. He has a unique communication style, knowing that words transform emotions and lead to breakthroughs. His decisiveness carries the team, that does not mean he makes easy decisions. He makes what's right even in tough times. If one have ever engaged in a conversation with Kenneth, one must have sensed quickly his confidence and clear visions. He is fully focused on helping the team achieve their personal goals, even if it means sacrificing his time. Kenneth is a yes man to his mentees, not because he says yes to everything, but because he couldn't turn a blind eye to his team. Being a good speaker with his language fluency helped me discover that public speaking is a skill I enjoyed very much, and he is an example to follow. In my almost 3 years with Kenneth, I have enjoyed learning from him as my mentor, upgrading my skills and putting my strengths to use. He listens before he speaks, which many of us would have wanted from a leader. He has played a big role and attribution to my achievements and helped me vision who I want to be, who I could be and discovering my identity. In today's fast paced market, Kenneth is constantly looking for innovative ideas and finding the X factor. It was never a dull moment to learn new things from him. If you are looking for a leader that is no-nonsense, honest and focused on helping you achieve your goals, walk up to Kenneth and start the conversation.

Gladys Soon, Financial Consultant

During the short 4 months working with Kenneth, he has been an amazing mentor. Given the tough industry, Kenneth had played an integral role in getting me to find my footing. With his guidance, I managed to place a much more firm footing in here as compared to my other peers. Kenneth has always made himself available and has taken great interest in my trajectory into this industry. Under Kenneth's mentorship, I have seen growth in myself, even beyond my professional capabilities. His ardent support has me feel that it was the best decision to join Opulence to have the opportunity to be mentored by Kenneth.

Russell Ng, CEO AIMS APAC REIT

Kenneth has been my personal financial adviser for close to a decade and has always provided professional, clear and timely advice for my family. An inspirational forward thinking leader and trusted adviser. I look forward to working with Kenneth for many more years to come

Affendi, Civil Service

“In 2001 I started working and was clueless about insurance products. How to protect myself? How to save for retirement? Then I was introduced to Kenneth thru a mutual friend. To my recollection, he also just started his journey as a Financial Advisor. Despite that, Kenneth showed sincerity, confidence and professionalism (he still does) when I first met him. Kenneth without fail will explained and assured me what is best for me at different phase of my life. Moving forward 21 years later, my family and I have always put our trust and faith in him. He always make himself available even on weekends (sorry to disturb u on weekends) when I needed his advice or help. Kenneth, I am happy for you Brudder! You are a testament that when you doing what you love sincerely, success will follow through in many forms. From my Insurance agent to my Friend.” *Thanks to Wei Kai also for introducing us. 😉

Ullas Nair, G6 Army, MINDEF

I have known Kenneth for about 21 years since we worked together in PT & Sports branch of G6 Army, MINDEF. As that time he was a specialist enlisted and trained as a fitness instructor. I was his superior officer and we worked together in managing and monitoring the army’s overall fitness data and making plans and policies. He struck me even then as a dedicated person, who took his full time national service seriously. He worked hard to ensure that our data was accurate and reliable and fit its purposes. After he left his army service where he had done very well, he branched out into the insurance industry. I was certain he would not only do well but excel in his chosen field at Prudential. We kept in touch all through the years and he even recommended me some good insurance products. His service was excellent, he treat everyone as a special friend not just a customer. He even assisted his army colleagues to invest week and we all found him to be a capable and reliable person. As an individual, Kenneth has very good inter-personal skills and EQ, but he is genuinely a nice person and would contact us from time to time even if we were not involved in any business deals with him. He has a food reputation from all his army friends even after leaving service more than 21 years ago. I wish him the best and I know he will serve his clients and friends well.
