The concept of "Paying It Forward" is nothing new, but in our world, I believe we could do with more compassion and selflessness as it brings out the best in us.

When we pay it forward we commit an act of selflessness that transcends our connection to other humans on the planet, elevating the human experience in a positive way. Whether it’s a showing of kindness, faith, or even compassion, it all makes a difference and can potentially trigger a chain reaction of reciprocated behavior.

The Power of Altruism

Classical economics adopts a model that says people are primarily driven by material self-interest. Political science assumes that people are driven to maximize their power. But this worldview is clearly wrong. In real life, the push of selfishness is matched by the pull of empathy and altruism. This is not Hallmark card sentimentalism but scientific fact: As babies our neural connections are built by love and care. We have evolved to be really good at cooperation and empathy. We are strongly motivated to teach and help others.

I know Kenneth in 2001 when I bought my very First insurance from him. Being new to the workforce, I am overwhelmed with the different products in the market. He patiently explains everything in layman's term to aid my understanding. Since then, I will only go to him for my every insurance needs. I have known Kenneth for about 21 years since we worked together in PT & Sports branch of G6 Army, MINDEF. As that time he was a specialist enlisted and trained as a fitness instructor. I was his superior officer and we worked together in managing and monitoring the army’s overall fitness data and making plans and policies. He struck me even then as a dedicated person, who took his full time national service seriously. He worked hard to ensure that our data was accurate and reliable and fit its purposes. After he left his army service where he had done very well, he branched out into the insurance industry. I was certain he would not only do well but excel in his chosen field at Prudential. We kept in touch all through the years and he even recommended me some good insurance products. His service was excellent, he treat everyone as a special friend not just a customer. He even assisted his army colleagues to invest week and we all found him to be a capable and reliable person. As an individual, Kenneth has very good inter-personal skills and EQ, but he is genuinely a nice person and would contact us from time to time even if we were not involved in any business deals with him. He has a food reputation from all his army friends even after leaving service more than 21 years ago. I wish him the best and I know he will serve his clients and friends well.
