A Monthly Curated Newsletter

For many, the festive season is a time of food, celebrations, social interaction, and hype. Coupled with the continuous demands of work and life, such periods can sometimes leave us feeling drained, and some of us may even struggle to get a breather. In this issue, I have put together resources on how we can possibly wind down and benefit from more intentional quiet and less noise.

A quiet life is created from the inside out, and not the other way around. Let's try to find out how.

Using The Power of Silence To Get More

Falling silent, also known as the effective pause, is a powerful tool to use during interpersonal communication. It is a skill in which you intentionally create a void in the dialogue, before or after saying something meaningful, to entice the other side to continue talking and perhaps expound on a point they were trying to make.

Shawn Ng, Sales Director

Know Kenneth for many years and he handles my family insurance portfolio. He knows his work and is never pushy with us. Good service

Lee Peng, Business Process Analyst

Kenneth and Clesphrin have been helping us for the past few decades. They always work hard to help us find the best solutions as our needs change in various stages of life. They have been extremely patient and informative, making the decision making process a lot easier for us.

Eddie Chin, HR Business Partner, CAG

I’ve known Kenneth since my army days, so that works out to more than 20 years… I must say since those days, Kenneth has been a natural mentor in caring for and taking care of his course mates (me included!). Armed with a positive and never-say-die attitude, he regularly galvanizes every one of us fellow trainees to “endure and excel” throughout the few months of training together. From the tough times we faced together, you could clearly tell that Kenneth was someone you could depend on, in good or bad times… 😊 I recall Kenneth was already clear at that young age (where most guys are probably trying to “act cool”), that he wanted to go into the financial planning line to help relatives and friends better plan for their needs at various stages of life. We continued keeping in touch after we were posted to different camps in Singapore, and shortly after we turned operationally ready he got his financial planner licence with Prudential! Without a doubt, I took up my first life policy with him after starting work myself. Fast forward 20 years, and Kenneth continues to conscientiously plan for me and my family’s needs in terms of insurance coverage. I mean it when I say “needs”, coz Kenneth never pushes for me to take on more than I should or could. Now that he’s leading his own team, he remains down to earth and continues to keep tab on me and my family’s well-being, as a good friend and trusted financial advisor.

Richard Lee, CEO, Aalst Chocolate

Trustworthy and sincere. Kenneth has been helping to plan for my family plans for more than 10 years. Happy to see his team expand and with his guidance, I am sure many will benefit from his wealth of experience. He is also a good public speaker and has spoke at my company events.

Ullas Nair, G6 Army, MINDEF

I have known Kenneth for about 21 years since we worked together in PT & Sports branch of G6 Army, MINDEF. As that time he was a specialist enlisted and trained as a fitness instructor. I was his superior officer and we worked together in managing and monitoring the army’s overall fitness data and making plans and policies. He struck me even then as a dedicated person, who took his full time national service seriously. He worked hard to ensure that our data was accurate and reliable and fit its purposes. After he left his army service where he had done very well, he branched out into the insurance industry. I was certain he would not only do well but excel in his chosen field at Prudential. We kept in touch all through the years and he even recommended me some good insurance products. His service was excellent, he treat everyone as a special friend not just a customer. He even assisted his army colleagues to invest week and we all found him to be a capable and reliable person. As an individual, Kenneth has very good inter-personal skills and EQ, but he is genuinely a nice person and would contact us from time to time even if we were not involved in any business deals with him. He has a food reputation from all his army friends even after leaving service more than 21 years ago. I wish him the best and I know he will serve his clients and friends well.

Wilson Low, Enterprise Business Manager

In 2018, I was looking for a Sales Opportunity in my IT industry. However, my Prudential Financial Consultant shared with me about his work and introduced me to his Team Lead, Kenneth. For a person like me who was already 50yo then, without any experience in the Sales and Financial Industries, it was not easy for me to switch and become a FC but Kenneth was a very patient and knowledgeable Mentor. He was able to teach and abundantly share his knowledge and experience with all his new FCs, and I am proud to be in his Multi Million Dollar Agency Team. I would recommend Kenneth to those who are looking for a good Financial Mentor to achieve your career goal as a Financial Consultant.
