When the going gets rough, it can at times be easy to lose sight of what we set out to attain in our lives, be it in our personal endeavours, work or finances. The process of going & pushing through such situations may not be most comfortable, but persevering and talking about how to handle them is necessary. These are perspectives I found useful and inspiring. I hope this gives you hope. | These 7 Qualities Lead To Perseverance When Faced With Adversity Like the ability to find meaning, to be vulnerable, connect & ask for help, having a supportive relationship with oneself, being able to surrender and trust in the face of uncertainty, having a sense of humour, mental calmness even in times of difficulty, and the ability to cultivate perspective and gratitude. | Grit: Perseverance and Personal Finance Saving money and making continual progress toward financial goals seems like it is just plain easy for some people. He knows his work and is never pushy with us. Good service | | | Gladys Soon, Financial Consultant During the short 4 months working with Kenneth, he has been an amazing mentor. Given the tough industry, Kenneth had played an integral role in getting me to find my footing. With his guidance, I managed to place a much more firm footing in here as compared to my other peers.
Kenneth has always made himself available and has taken great interest in my trajectory into this industry. Under Kenneth's mentorship, I have seen growth in myself, even beyond my professional capabilities. His ardent support has me feel that it was the best decision to join Opulence to have the opportunity to be mentored by Kenneth. | | | Crystal Huang, Senior Financial Consultant I joined Kenneth's Team back in 2018, and I would say it was his character and transparency that gave me the leap of faith to join the Finance & Insurance Industry. Time flies and it is my fourth year, Kenneth would still be ever ready to assist me should I need advise, and also he continues to support the Team with prospecting methods and ideas. Despite being in the industry for more than 20 years himself, he is always open to new ideas, suggestions, and continues to learn from others (signing up for courses/ hearing from others). He is a leader who leads and inspire many others. | | | Ullas Nair, G6 Army, MINDEF I have known Kenneth for about 21 years since we worked together in PT & Sports branch of G6 Army, MINDEF. As that time he was a specialist enlisted and trained as a fitness instructor. I was his superior officer and we worked together in managing and monitoring the army’s overall fitness data and making plans and policies. He struck me even then as a dedicated person, who took his full time national service seriously. He worked hard to ensure that our data was accurate and reliable and fit its purposes.
After he left his army service where he had done very well, he branched out into the insurance industry. I was certain he would not only do well but excel in his chosen field at Prudential. We kept in touch all through the years and he even recommended me some good insurance products. His service was excellent, he treat everyone as a special friend not just a customer. He even assisted his army colleagues to invest week and we all found him to be a capable and reliable person.
As an individual, Kenneth has very good inter-personal skills and EQ, but he is genuinely a nice person and would contact us from time to time even if we were not involved in any business deals with him. He has a food reputation from all his army friends even after leaving service more than 21 years ago. I wish him the best and I know he will serve his clients and friends well.
| | | Michelle Tan, Senior Financial Consultant Kenneth's confidence, experience and his ability to vision made me took a leap of faith from my decent paying job & multiple offers to join his team. It was indeed a tough decision but I have never regretted ever since. He believes in me more than I believe in myself & will push me to do better, be better. I have grown a lot these 4 years under his mentorship, emotionally, mentally & financially. I'm proud to say that without Kenneth, I wouldn't be where I am right now.
Everything happens for a reason. If you ever receive a call from Kenneth one day on a new career opportunity, pick it up, have a coffee with him. It might be the turning point you were waiting for. | | | Leon Chaw, Senior Financial Consultant I have known Kenneth since I was 18.
